Deborah Ann Woll (Daredevil, True Blood) and Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice) star in this genre-bending horror treat that gives you one of the best and gnarliest twists I've ssen in ages. And the best part, you don't have to wait till the end for the payoff. It comes at the halfway mark and the film immediately shifts into something completely different and you're just like "WHAT?!". But in the best possible way.
Very clever, smartly written with some gorgeous cinematography, strong performances and the icing on the cake, 100% practical effects, and there's a lot, and very well-done. The effects are intense, and the film overall looks far better than it has any right to. It's so impressive and culminates in a whillly unexpected and satisfying experience. It begins as a very slick and very well-done Silence of the Lambs-style procedural for the first half, and then BOOM! It makes a radical shift you won't see coming. I was locked in from the very first frame.
Do yourself a favor and watch this immediately.
