Really sad that Goddard isn`t alice anymore...would`ve loved to see more of him.<br />"Its not I hit you, you hit me. This needed more action...but the fight between Goddard and Dolph was cool.Tyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06188012325610596179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-44751437603666860892012-03-14T15:13:56.397-07:002012-03-14T15:13:56.397-07:00Ah yes, I completely forgot to mention that Sayles...Ah yes, I completely forgot to mention that Sayles was credited as one of the writers. Interestingly enough, I'm watching another film he wrote, Battle Beyond the Stars. <br /><br />I think I was expecting an action film about mercenaries, but to me, it ended up playing out more like a drama about Gunar's (Lundgren) inner struggle and coming to terms with his conscience, falling in love and taking a stand. The fact that you say "more" action was added once Lundgren was cast really surprises me, since the last 30 minutes only really delivered any kind of action at all. There was that bar fight around the middle, and that minor sequence in the village at night by the guy who got rejected by Catherine Bell's character in the bar and then got blown to smithereens on the boat when he tried to escape, but I still feel it was seriously lacking in the action department.robotGEEKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00355070295108163031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7959025705353546660.post-73409741259138409702012-03-14T13:57:37.100-07:002012-03-14T13:57:37.100-07:00It was written by John Sayles initially (with the ...It was written by John Sayles initially (with the script title "A Safe Place"), and a lot more action was added once Dolph was attached to star. I don't think it's that slow or lacking action, it's a very smart action drama.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
